John Collins is a Principal in the New York office of Sullivan, Cotter and Associates, Inc. John joined the firm from Towers Watson where he was both a Principal and Senior Director. He has also held positions as the Director of Global Compensation and Benefits at the Hess Corporation and as a life and health actuary within the insurance industry.
With almost 20 years of compensation consulting experience, John has advised both company management and compensation committees on executive compensation and executive benefits issues. John’s clients have included Fortune 1000 companies across a variety of industries, as well as private companies, private equity owned firms, and U.S. subsidiaries of foreign-owned organizations.
John’s compensation consulting practice focuses on:

John received a B.S. in mathematics from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and an M.B.A., with honors, from Columbia Business School.
