Managing Principal - Executive Compensation

SullivanCotter is experiencing substantial growth and is seeking to hire experienced Managing Principals who will focus on client and market growth and the development of best-practice standards in the compensation industry.

The Managing Principal will serve as leadership of the Firm and will be tasked with pursuing and growing business development opportunities within the office region and maintaining strong client relationships with key clients and prospects along with the growth and development of consulting professionals. 

The individual should have solid experience in consultative compensation services with a focus on the not-for-profit health care industry and be a proven leader in either physician or executive compensation.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Communicate the significant value proposition of the Firm’s entire service portfolio
  • Growth and development of a defined office region market
  • Instill confidence among clients that will further the growth and development of key client relationships
  • Strategic marketing, business development and consulting leadership
  • Consistently build an effective pipeline and execute on each phase of the sales process
  • Incorporate knowledge of our products and services, the customer, and key competitors into the sales process and use that knowledge to uncover customer needs and create value based solutions
  • Work effectively as a team member and also facilitate the sales opportunity by providing leadership and orchestrating the internal and external resources needed to effectively manage the sales process
  • Use two-sided discovery to uncover the key drivers of value for the customer and is skilled in articulating the value of our solutions and is able to clearly differentiate the company's solutions in the marketplace
  • Accurately forecast the business on a consistent basis
  • Leverage the value of our solutions in the negotiation process to drive maximum margin for the company. Establish customer relationships that enable FTI to be viewed as a trusted advisor

 

BASIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8-10 years of success in compensation consultancy services. Ideally this will be in the health care industry
  • Must have a B.S. or a B.A. college degree
  • Polished executive presence with the ability to interact with senior executives, board members and business leaders as a “consultative partner and strategic advisor, “not a “vendor”
  • Experience in either Physician or Executive Compensation Consulting

 

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Advanced degree is not mandatory but considered a plus
  • Experience at a consulting firm, law firm or large health care organization
  • Consulting experience working in the not-for-profit health care industry
