Among her major projects, Kim created and directs the firm’s national Physician Compensation and Productivity Survey, which was designated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as a source for determining safe harbor rates for physicians in Stark II. Kim also created and directs the firm’s Physician On-Call Pay Survey and theMedical Group Executive Compensation Survey.
Kim works with numerous law firms throughout the U.S. to review and provide opinions on the fair market value of physicians’ services. Kim was appointed by a U.S. Federal District Court judge to conduct a comprehensive study of physician on-call pay practices for trauma and emergency department call.
Additionally, Kim has served as faculty for the American Health Lawyer’s Association, the HealthCare Roundtable, the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, the Strategic Research Institute and the American College of Medical Staff Development. Kim also served on the editorial advisory board for the Physician Compensation Report, a monthly newsletter published by HCPro, Inc.
Kim received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University and her Master of Arts degree in Industrial Relations from Wayne State University. She is a member of various professional organizations, including the WorldatWork, by whom she is designated a Certified Compensation Professional.
