Instructors

James E. Rohan, Vice President, Managing Director

Jim is one of the founders of SullivanCotter and has more than twenty-seven years of consulting experience. He has worked with boards of directors and senior management at over 350 health care organizations in the development of executive, physician, broad-based employee compensation programs, and strategic rewards systems. Jim is a frequent speaker on compensation issues and was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award by both WorldAtWork and the Chicago Compensation Association.

Warren Kerper, Managing Principal


Warren has more than 20 years of executive management and consulting experience in human resources and compensation and specializes in health care, higher education and endowments. He has worked with a wide range of health systems, academic medical centers, managed care organizations, and universities in the development of strategy and design for executive and employee compensation programs.

David L. Wolfe, Partner

David is a partner with Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP. He engages in a broad-based practice for tax-exempt clients covering tax-qualified plans and executive/physician compensation. His subspecialties include reducing ERISA litigation and fiduciary liability exposure, hybrid pension arrangements, legal compliance reviews and the corporate governance of benefit plans.

Michael D. Rosenbaum, Partner

Michael is a partner with Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP and is Vice-Chair of the firm's Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice. His practice includes the full range of employee benefit and executive/physician compensation matters. He has extensive experience in designing, implementing and funding executive and physician compensation plans; and advising clients regarding the other employee benefit arrangements available to executives and physicians of tax-exempt organizations.

Douglas B. Swill, Partner

Douglas B. Swill is a partner at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP and chair of the firm's highly regarded Health Law Practice Group. He counsels clients on a variety of health care regulatory and corporate matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, governance and nonprofit issues, Stark, anti-kickback and tax-exemption law analyses, Medicare and Medicaid audits, coverage and overpayment issues, compliance programs audits, voluntary disclosures, regulatory and due diligence reviews and contract projects. Douglas has assisted hospital systems and physician group practices on structuring transactions to minimize fraud and abuse risks, on complying with not-for-profit and tax exemption requirements and on complying with licensure, certification and reimbursement requirements.
